The care of the first 5 newborns at the Bingerville Mother-Child Hospital supported for one year

Dominique Ouattara Mother and Child Hospital in Bingerville has registered its first newborns. From Monday, April 16 to Saturday, April 21, 2018, a total of five (05) children, including twins, were born in this reference hospital.

Good news for Mrs. Dominique Ouattara, the mother of all the children of Ivory Coast who wanted to mark with a white stone this happy event. Thus, she decided to take full charge of medical care for newborns until their first birthday through its Foundation. The announcement of this act of solidarity and support was made by Mrs. Nadine Sangaré, Country Director of Children Of Africa, Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Mother-Child Hospital, during a visit to four (04) parturientes and newborns.

Thus, almost a month after its official inauguration, on March 16th, in the presence of President Alassane Ouattara, the sanitary building is now in full swing.

During this visit Mrs. Nadine Sangaré translated the message of support of Mrs. Dominique Ouattara to parturients. She not only inquired about their state of health, but also congratulated them on behalf of Mrs. Dominique Ouattara. Taking advantage of the opportunity, she informed them that the newborns will be supported by the Children of Africa Foundation until their first birthday. An act of solidarity and support that touched the four new mothers visited by the collaborator of the President of Children Of Africa. Nadine Sangaré also offered gifts to new mothers on behalf of the Founder of Children Of Africa.

“This morning, we came to the Mother-Child Hospital because this week we had the first births of this hospital. We have five (05) beautiful babies who were born this week. Faced with this good news, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara, asked us to come and congratulate these new mothers, bring them gifts and see these beautiful babies. But also, we told them that the Children of Africa Foundation supports these babies until their first birthday. These children will be supported by the Foundation here at the Mother-Child Hospital until their 1st birthday. For 1 year, the 5 babies will be treated free. The costs will be borne by the Children of Africa Foundation, “explained Ms. Sangaré.

Professor Sylvia Da Silva-Anoma, Scientific and Medical Director of Bingerville Mother and Child Hospital, reflected the feeling that animates the medical team as a result of these births. She further revealed that the first surgeries were successfully performed on five other children.

“We are really all very happy. All the medical and paramedical teams of the Mother and Child Hospital are happy. And you should have witnessed the joy that accompanied each birth, from the first to the fifth birth. This is a very promising and very symbolic week for us. We had five very beautiful babies. Moms are very happy with the welcome and quality of care. And we also operated five children this week. The activities of the hospital started well. And everyone is very happy to share this news, “said Professor Da Silva Anoma.

The parturientes have held during this visit to translate their gratitude to Mrs. Dominique Ouattara for its momentum of solidarity.

Note that of the four (04) parturients, some were fully supported by the MCH as indigent person.
